100 years ago today, AN OCTOPUS by Marianne Moore was published. Despite its name, the poem is actually a meditative poem set on Mount Rainier and named after the cephalopodic shape of the glacier surrounding the mountain.

If you wanted another sneak peek at Level Up, you've got it! We are working with tabletop game collector Bill Meinhardt on the exhibit, and along with some Dungeons & Dragons artifacts we'll be displaying in the museum, we got to see all of the memorabilia he's collected!

Then, join us for Writing True Crime, where investigative journalists Shawn Cohen and Philip Eil share insights into their reporting processes, interviewing techniques, and writing about true crimes with honesty and sensitivity with moderator Evan F. Moore.

On May 19, join us at the #AWFest2024 for Writing Memoir! Nicole Chung and Lydia Millet, two bestselling authors, untangle their own histories and stories and discuss the process and craft of writing a memoir (or an anti-memoir, as Millet calls her new book) with Donna Seaman.
