#OnThisDay in 1777, General George Washington and his army were victorious at the Battle of Princeton.
Museum staff recently visited the battlefield, which features a commemorative plaque to General Hugh Mercer and the house where he died after being mortally wounded in battle.
#OnThisDay in 1777, the Second Battle of Trenton, also known as the Battle of the Assunpink Creek was fought.
Abraham Wheelwright was a member of General Washington's Army who crossed the Delaware River on Christmas night 1776 and fought at Trenton and later at Princeton.

It's #NewYearsEve , which calls for a bowl of punch! 🥂 Punch was a popular 18th-century party drink. London-trained silversmith Simeon Coley made this silver punch bowl, on display at the Museum, in New York around 1766.
