The Sunshine Place afternoon group had a fantastic time making rhubarb crumble and custard! ☀️🧑‍🍳👩‍🍳

Today Primary 1 had a special visitor from Childsmile. They learned about foods that help yo keep their teeth healthy and good brushing routines. P1 were a very good audience! 🦷🪥

P2a have created the layers of the ocean as part of their ‘Under the Sea’ topic! They have learned about the sunlight, twilight and midnight zones and the sea creatures that live in each layer. 🌊

P6 & P6.5 were hard at work today cleaning up our garden area. They are so excited to begin planting & have our garden Summer ready! 🌸🌼

P7 had an excellent time on their first of eight visits to @GlasgowClub Easterhouse. This week they worked on improving their basketball skills! 🏀

P6 played some parachute games during PE, focusing on working as a team! 🤩

P5 have been learning to create their own Surrealist drawings using bold colours, shapes and lines in the style of artist Joan Miro! 🖼️🖌️✍️

P3 have been busy researching facts about their favourite animals to help them write their own information reports! 📝

P6/5 began working on their garden project to help get the garden ready for summer. They made lists of what needs to be done & this week they began by weeding the path & litter picking.👩‍🌾🪴🌞

P6/5 showed great imagination and teamwork on the pitch when they created a new game together! 👏

This week P4 have been collecting data and creating their own pictographs together! 🔢

P7a’s model of the Waverley Paddle Steamer is now complete. They all worked so hard and are very proud of the result! 🚢

Class 2 made some prints inspired by animals found in the jungle. 🐅🐍🐆🦎

The House and Vice Captains met today to peer assess description writing in P3-7. The children were delighted to get their feedback and can't wait to work on their next steps to make their writing even better! ✍️

P3 are learning about ‘The Romans’. This has involved research to create a fact-file about the types of homes they lived in! 📝

P1 are learning to tell the time using o’clock! ⏰

Primary 5 really enjoyed their first golf sessions with Easthall Residents. Their favourite part was the team game ‘Train’! 🏌️‍♀️🏌️‍♂️

P7a’s classroom has resembled a Clyde shipyard at times this week! They began by making their own prototypes. Then team work started on a model of a very famous paddle steamer. The final result will be revealed next week! 🚢
