After some post-Antarctic recovery, it’s back to work today.

The next 11 months is about getting the new Ops Tower operational. It's the biggest challenge that I've undertaken, but one I'm excited to start work on and see through with the rest of the teams.

The epic #Train2EGU journey is underway. Having left Cambridge at 5.30am, we’ve just left Frankfurt bound for Vienna and #EGU24
We’ll be promoting the latest results from Antarctica and International Thwaites Glacier Collaboration with more updates during the week ❄️🐧

Thanks to our 120+ colleagues for completing carbon literacy training to understand the impact of climate change and learn the tools to combat it.

As a result, BAS is now certified as a Bronze Carbon Literate organisation by The Carbon Literacy Project!

Last night the Governor welcomed some of the crew of the Falklands-flagged Royal Research Ship Sir David Attenborough before they departed for Antarctica this morning.

The #Falklands and British Antarctic Survey has built a strong relationship over the years.
