and people are marrying convicted serial killers sentenced to life in prison so let’s not judge the genders and remember people are deeply weird in general

One thing baseball has right now is too many healthy frontline starters. Couple generations of guys now throwing less and less but with same injuries. Maybe this time it will be different.

3.1 innings and he's been pitching for two months? What are we doing here? Is he preparing to be a big-league starter or not? Guys aren't staying healthier so why are they still treated like children? He was throwing 105 pitches+ every week at this point last year.

There is no Tommy John surge this spring -- it's just always this bad since ~2014. Today marks the 100th day of the year, a period during when most elbow injuries occur. We looked at the first 100 days of each year re: TJS procedures for MLB and all pro pitchers since Tommy John…

Every single year April is filled with pitcher injuries and we do this. Theories galore. Conversation dies in May-onward. Does timing tell us anything? Offseason routines? Taking a lot of time off from max throwing and then restarting, is this the way to do it?

Never watched wrestling a day in my life but I'll be damned if that bell didn't hit hard. Look at the girl in the blue on the bottom left. Instant Pavlovian response.

HIM: I won’t find anyone as good as her

ME (just finished watching Moneyball): we’ll recreate her in the aggregate

I would love for Jered Weaver to talk about his 3 finger FB -or whatever it was- that he would throw a number of times a game. Down bad in counts, he'd throw this sub-FB that just got guys to roll over or pop up constantly. Free out machine. Not witchcraft stuff. Just smart.

It’s not talked about often but do we remember prime-Verlander? He would start games 91-93 and then by the 2nd time through the order would work 96-100? There a skill there. Early outs without best stuff (pitching) then blow doors off when you build to it.
