Did you know almost half the world's bluebells are found in the UK and are a protected species?
I love going on a bluebell hunt and May is a great time to find them. These are from Cannon Hall Museum, Park & Gardens, and from the beautiful wood Worsbrough Mill just over the road from the car park

It's #nationalmillsweekend this weekend, and to celebrate, Worsbrough Mill are holding an event this Sunday from 10am till 3pm. Mill tours will be at 11am and 2pm. See you there!!

The Iris is said to be named after the Greek goddess of the rainbow, reflecting the wide variety of colours found in the 310 different species.
This beautiful Moorcroft vase from the Barnsley Museums collection features the 'Iris' design which was very popular in the late 1910s.
