Here are some more UK bumblebees you can spot in May 🐝

This month, some of these rare and less common queens will emerge from hibernation. Already active queens will produce their first daughters – the workers πŸ’Ό

Gardens, whether in the city or the countryside, are increasingly vital bat habitats as their natural spaces are in decline. You can play a part in protecting these fascinating creatures, no matter the size of your garden buff.ly/2HkKSuq

Have you spotted this black wannabee? πŸ€”

This is a Hairy-footed flower bee. Unlike most solitary bees, they are round and fluffy – and can be easily confused for a small bumblebee.

So what gives them away? πŸ•΅πŸΌ
