The last 5 days we have been running a Mountain Training Mountain Skills course for ArmyCadetsAT. It’s been a bit blustery with Storm Kathleen towards the end of the week & we was even stalked by a Chinook.

Last night we were honoured to welcome some prominent mountaineering names to Shrewsbury for the 1924 Everest Centenary Commemoration, organised by Lower Sixth form pupil Archie.
Thank you to all the guest speakers and interviewees for their incredible insights. #FloreatSalopia
Huge congratulations to the Boys' 1st XI football team on, once again, advancing to the ESFA semi-finals!
They secured their spot after a battling victory over Torquay Boys Grammar School in a challenging away game.

Super proud of Old Swinford Hospital cadets who attended #stourbridgecrematorium this Christmas Eve along with Royal British Legion and Commonwealth War Graves volunteer Richard Ellis to take a moment to remember those who gave everything, including #oldfoleyan Norman Parkes OSH PA OSH Old Foleyans' Commandant RAF Air Cadets YOU West Midlands
Of the 61 Commonwealth War Graves graves Old Swinford Hospital placed lights on Christmas Eve one stood out OSH Old Foleyans' Norman Parkes who grew up in Stourbridge News before leaving for Canada. He enlisted at outbreak of war leaving fiancé Ethel Lons behind. On 8/5/1917 he was wounded and later died #lestweforget
Today is a sad day as we say goodbye to a friend of mine & of MANY others. He was an outstanding legend of Old Swinford Hospital who many years before I joined worked with OSH CCF with the RAF Air Cadets section. He will be missed by so many & our thought & prayers go to his family.
The Shrewsbury School CCF (RAF) Section recently attended the West area Royal Air Squadron Trophy competition for the first time - well done to all who trained hard for this event. Read more about the competition below. #ShrewsburyCCF
