🌍🧱Over the past week, P7 have been learning about Global Goal 8: Decent Work & Economic Growth.

🤔 📏 Calculating area & perimeter by exploring the variety of trades involved in construction.

🏡👷‍♀️Our highlight was our timed challenges to recreate blueprints & building frames!

💡⭐️This week P7 have been reviewing their Genius Hour projects with the theme of ‘making tiny changes’.

🌍🎯They have each picked a Global Goal to explore, investigating their own BIG question to research before creating a way of educating others or helping the cause!

A group of P6 pupils participated in the local cross country competition this morning against other local schools. They had to run a lap around Balbardie Park and they were absolutely brilliant. Well done everyone! Active West Lothian

👍✅P7 have also spent their day learning to be SAFE.

🫁 We learned how to put someone into the recovery position & how to perform CPR.

🤕We also demonstrated some basic first aid - using bandages to help relieve an injury.

👨🏻‍⚕️👩‍⚕️We enjoyed some role play along the way!

The Snug Club enjoyed making delicious smoothies. We each chose and prepared the fruit and then used the blender to mix our ingredients together. It was lovely to sit drinking them together as a group sharing our opinions🍌🍓🍇 #nurturegroup WL Equity nurtureuk

In Primary 3 we enjoyed our First Aid session this morning as part of Health Fortnight. We learned the technique of how to bandage a wrist injury.

🤩🏏P7 have been healthy and achieving this morning as Mr Ronalson delivered a brilliant cricket skills session!

✅🏅For a lot of us, we were trying out cricket for the first time. That’s what we love about Health Fortnight - challenging ourselves to try new things!

P4/3 have participated in a first aid workshop today! 🚑
We practiced the recovery position—important life-saving skill!
Learned how to properly bandage a wrist for minor injuries. 💪

P6 have been writing Japanese tankas and haikus, both types of poetry considered an art form in Japan. 🎭 🇯🇵

Although these poems are short, we had to think carefully about our word choice and use of syllables. Today we re-drafted our favourites. 💜

P1 had a fabulous afternoon with P7⭐️.

We were planting wildflowers🌸.

We completed a litter pick🗑️.

We enjoyed having some free play with our buddies.

💜🤩P7 had a wonderful afternoon in the garden with P1.

🪻🌸We were clearing out the old weeds, turning the soil and planting our wildflower seeds!

👏⭐️Excellent leadership from P7 and impressive listening skills from P1. Teamwork made the dream work!

P3 are continuing to enjoy Health Fortnight. We had a fun morning in Kirkton Park, then enjoyed some relaxing mindfulness art back in class with Mrs Martin-Law 🎨🖌️
