There are very likely not the votes to pass it, but now is the time to introduce legislation barring Jan 6 insurrectionists from the ballot. Scotus says Congress needs to act, so they should. Republicans can go on the record to protect those who sought to undo democracy.

A Congress devoted to enforcing the 14th Amendment would have already passed legislation to bar insurrectionists from running for President. If they would have acted, the result might have been very different today. But, unfortunately, that’s not where we are as a nation.
