He said postgame when you call a run play, check to a run alert instead, and lose 5 yards on that first play, it becomes more ideal to just take it into the half. Which is understandable.

If you’re looking for growth, Jordan Love hitting AJ Dillon on open checkdown to convert 4th and 2 and give a credible shot at end zone next play from the 16 is not something he would have done earlier this season. Didn’t work out, but that was the right way to play it.
