Brooklyn Gossard's journey w/adaptive sports began at 5. Wheelchair racing + basketball are parts of her identity and she embraces skiing, cycling + sled hockey! No longer limited by borrowed equipment, she can focus on her training and athletic aspirations. #TeamCAF

Natasha Price has been a wheelchair racer for 5 years, and already won the 2019 Auckland + 2023 Brisbane Marathons and qualified to race the elite marathon in London next year. A CAF grant will help her continue competing and giving visibility to disability. #TeamCAF

Corporal Neftali “Nef” Mendoza joined the USMC after high school. In college, Nef collapsed and the amputation of his left leg above the knee was necessary. Through Operation Rebound, Nef remains active and will use his grant to continue strength training! #TeamCAF

Zak Katzer started wheelchair basketball to lose a few pounds and is now playing at a high level. Derek Loccident played college football as an amputee before finding track and field and eventually taking home a silver medal from the 2023 World Championships in Paris! #TeamCAF

Championship surfer Meira Nelson recently moved to Idaho with her family and is making a positive impact in the community. She's been rock-climbing, alpine skiing, and wake surfing with CAF-Idaho! Meira will use her grant to continue to pursue competitive surfing. #TeamCAF
