Moon Kwan, born in Guangzhou, China in 1896, came to San Francisco, then to LA in 1915. He pursued a career in filmmaking, working as a writer, actor & advisor on D.W. Griffith's film Broken Blossom in 1919. He started a film company upon his return to China. #AAPIHeritageMonth
