⚖️ A man who targeted lone women in a string of terrifying, random assaults has been convicted.

Kieron Anton Sewah, 32, attacked three women in Basingstoke in a less than one-month period last autumn before fleeing the scene.

Today, as part of Hate Crime Awareness Week, we are introducing Sophie, Deputy Chief Crown Prosecutor and Wessex Hate Crime Lead.

This evening our Crown Prosecutors presented a mock Hate Crime trial for local community members University of Portsmouth

Together with Hampshire Police we showed how Hate Crimes are prosecuted at court and offered the community members the chance to take part by acting as the jury.

We were delighted to spend the morning with Visit Eastleigh - Eastleigh BID speaking to local businesses about our work prosecuting hate crimes committed against retail workers and the support available to victims at court.

⚖️ A man who killed a stranger with a single punch before entering a pub and bragging about it has been jailed.

Darren John Fell, 41, was convicted of manslaughter and was today sentenced to nine years in prison after striking Wayne Sheppard.

⚖️ Former Dorset police officer, Ravi Canhye, has been jailed today after being found guilty of rape and serious sexual offences at Winchester Crown Court earlier this week.

He was sentenced to 16 and a half years' imprisonment.
