Thanks to Robert Colby for sending us his new book “An Unholy Traffic” about the slave trade in the south during the Civil War. Looking forward to reading it and having him on the podcast soon to discuss this really difficult topic.

OTD in 1863, “Stonewall” Jackson’s left arm was amputated near the site of the modern 1781 Brewing Co. on the Plank Road near Chancellorsville.

Afterwards, Jackson’s arm was taken by Rev. Beverly T. Lacy to his brother’s home at Ellwood where it was buried in Lucy family plot
