Just as I did for the annular solar eclipse (still there on my pinned post) last fall, here is a numbered sequence table for the recent , with 4 shots showing different features between C2 and C3.

M82 is a spiral galaxy located about 12 Mly away in the constellation of Ursa Major.

M82 is a starburst galaxy, that is undergoing massive amounts of star formation. This is likely due to gravitational interaction with nearby galaxy M81.

Despite the clouds, I was able to get enough images before and after totality to create this panel. All images taken with manual settings using my trusty Fuji XS10 mirrorless camera and 50-230mm kit lens at 230mm. Location was Concan, Texas on April 8, 2024.

Our recent discovery that the Minor Planet '(5232) Jordaens' has a near equal-sized moon has now been formally recognized by the International Astronomical Union. At the time, main-belt asteroid 'Jordaens' was 406 million km (252 million miles) away and only 11.5km (7 miles) in

About two weeks ago, my wife and I travelled to Texas, USA and had the immense privilege of witnessing one of nature's greatest wonders. This was our first total solar eclipse and it was everything we thought it would be. Thank you Texas!

Excellent demonstration of why the orientation of the moon looks different from different parts of the world. In Alberta, Canada, the moon looks vertical but when we recently travelled down to Texas to image the Eclipse, it looked horizontal as in the picture I attached here.

The April 8, 2024 total solar eclipse in a blend of 18 exposures from short (for the pink prominences) to long (for the coronal streamers) to try to match the view by eye and telescope. Shot thru a 105mm refractor from Lac Brome, Quebec.
