China has lodged a protest with Washington about Mark Lambert’s remarks on UNGA Resolution 2758. Shocking & outrageous for the Department of State official overseeing ties with China to lie about the resolution, lie about history and tread on international law & norms.

The US, as a P5 nation, should have led by example in observing UN resolutions. But it chooses to distort Resolution 2758 and preach “Taiwan’s meaningful participation in the UN” to hollow out the one-China principle, embolden “Taiwan independence” and hold China down.

UNGA Resolution 2758 & the one-China principle are not to be challenged. The world won't let the US turn back the wheel of history and infinitely ignore global opinion. The US must stop crossing our red line on Taiwan. Using the Taiwan card against China will get the US nowhere.
