Control your controlables πŸ‘€πŸ‘‡

With the amount of information readily available to us today, rarely are our decision based off of ignorance. We CHOOSE to do the things we know aren't best for us. Therefor, mediocrity is NOT bad luck, but a choice. CHOOSE to be GREAT.

Try using a cross step.
Β 1. Step across the defender's frame
Β 2. If they stay, keep going.
Β 3. If they move, you can always use it as a jab as well.

Control Your Pace πŸ‘‡

The defense is going to want to speed you up but you can use different types of footwork to keep them off balance. Try using a skip and playing relaxed like we talk about in this video.

Create separation with your feet πŸ‘€πŸ‘‡

Creating space isn't all about your handles. You have to have the ability to stop on a dime and change direction. Try this drill the next time you hit the gym.

Lower Turnovers Increase Protection πŸ‘€πŸ‘‡

Try swimming with your off hand when driving the ball. If you extend your hand out, you risk the chance of an offensive foul, but if you swim over the top when your back foot goes across you frame, you'll have great protection.

Stop getting your shot blocked! πŸ‘€πŸ‘‡

Stop exposing the basketball when it's unnecessary. You are not always going to be able to finish the same way. Being able to finish overhand, side hand and underhand is CRUCIAL for your success.Β

How is your shot flow? πŸ‘€πŸ‘‡

Shot flow is CRUCIAL for your success. It allows you to get your shot off quickly and efficiently. Without good flow, rotating defense can get to you quicker and alter your shot.

Tag a teammate that needs this!

Stop UNDERESTIMATING our youth! πŸ‘€πŸ‘‡

Limitations tend to be put on other people due to our own insecurities. We never really know how much we are capable of until we push through our mental barriers.

Get better scoring off the catch πŸ‘€πŸ‘‡

For this drill you're going to start with a cross jab, then get into a side jab and then raise up from three. You can do this from anywhere on the court. Try swishing three & then moving to your next spot.

Try this ball handling drill πŸ‘€πŸ‘‡

Focus on hanging your dribble. This can really give you time to read the defense, keep the defense at bay and allow you to get into different scoring options.

This concept is FLAWED! πŸ‘€πŸ‘‡

Ripping and getting to the basket is possible, but not probable. It's possible that it can be done, but you're going to get bumped in the game and you're probably going to have to change direction, both of which are really difficult with one dribble.
