'Hemos de conseguir que el equipo nos diga a nosotros qué tenemos que hacer y no al revés, porque es lo mejor para ganar. No queremos «soldaditos obedientes», sino jugadores con iniciativa, hemos de soltar riendas'.

'That's what you want to show the players at halftime, pictures of the fans in tears. That might inspire a few.'

Don Hutchinson proposing a pretty wild team talk.

Tonight we met with groups from 13 other PL clubs on issues such as prices, removal of new seasoncards & of concessions for OAPs. Clubs are colluding & fans are doing the same now. Clear that next season it’ll kick off across the country with sustained protests against PL greed.

Haney vs. Garcia was a thrilling spectacle. But Ryan Garcia cheated. He came in heavy and beat up an opponent who made weight. If that makes him the 'face' of the sport, what sort of a sport do we have exactly?

Just finished writing something about Haney vs Garcia (ohh, I have thoughts) and went looking for this clip. Turns out the actual broadcaster tweeted a clip of a fighters wearing an 'RIP' shirt for his opponent. The tweet is still up. Can we all just get a grip?

It was a big performance from Garcia.

But it's not a legitimate win, because he chose to miss weight and take an unfair advantage into the ring.

And that fact renders his win largely meaningless unfortunately. He can't be classed as a top 140 because he didn't box at 140.

Did everyone enjoy Real Madrid being second-best but absolutely refusing to lose? Good! It's 1-1 at halftime in El Clasico.

Any time a football club tweets like *that*, it just creates another few thousand people who believe their team only ever loses because of conspiracy.

If it’s a game.
It’s a cheating game.
3.5lb overweight.
Can’t ignore that while we rightly heap praise on the magnitude of his win.
But one man stuck to the rules & one didn’t.

Got his jaw broken by a guy who was nearly halfway to the next weight division.

I'd say making weight for championship fights is the name of the game and no one should be letting that become a footnote.

Let's all keep in mind that Ryan Garcia purposefully missed weight and had an advantage. That being said, very few thought he was mentally fit for this fight. Turns out, his fighting instincts pulled off the massive upset.

Full respect to Ryan Garcia the fighter. Incredible performance all things considered. If everything beforehand was also a performance, he's a rank rather than troubled individual. The truth probably somewhere in the middle. Anyway, let's do that again.
