A little Constitution 101...

'The right of the people to keep and bear arms, SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED.'

The Framers intentionally worded the Second Amendment that way for a reason.

The right ALREADY EXISTED, the Second Amendment merely protects that right.

See United States v. Cruikshank, 1876:

There is no viable path to repealing the Second Amendment.

You need 3/4ths of states on your side to amend/repeal the Second Amendment.

There are currently 29 constitutional carry states, you will struggle getting just 1/4ths of states on your side, let alone 3/4ths.

If you read the plain text of the Second Amendment, it clearly states that the right to keep and bear arms belongs to the PEOPLE.

Not to a well regulated militia.
