Black History Month Fun Fact: The first U.S. civil rights sit-in was in Durham, NC, on June 21, 1957, when 6 Durham youth (aged 16-25), along with their Pastor, sat down in the Royal Ice Cream Parlor in Durham and asked to be served. This sit-in sparked a national movement.
