We were excited to welcome elephant care consultant and Sanctuary friend, Gerry Creighton, to The Elephant Sanctuary this week. Gerry spent the morning with Care Staff and gave a presentation on the importance of herd socialization to Sanctuary Staff.

Donna has been making full use of the pulley system, which hangs preferred snacks and foods and provides enrichment for the elephants — especially when bamboo is involved. This indicates Donna’s growing comfort in interacting with her environment.
