This is the book I wrote for the Barnes Music Festival. It’s called (self-explanatorily) Composers of Barnes. Fascinating stories about Handel, Holst, Howells and lots of other talented people whose names don’t start with H (inc Howard Goodall Roxanna Panufnik). And lovely pictures.
A happy man with a foam finger. Thanks to Bronte for coming on BBC Radio 5 Live to tell us about the Gladiators TV final tonight. #Gladiators
Drumroll please...🥁

Also, just noticed this is only available on BBC Sounds for 6 days (commentary rights limitations) so don’t hang around!
Absolutely loved making this with John Murray Steve Bunce and the incredible BBC 5 Live Sport team who had an epic edit on to keep it to 150 mins. Do give it a listen if you’re on a long Easter weekend drive. #5LiveAt30

This is tonight! Very proud to have revisited the stories and music of the amazing composers who've made their home in our green London village. And thrilled to have Barnes Music Festival patrons Roxanna Panufnik Howard Goodall joining me on stage, with lots of musical interludes.🎹
Proof - piano keyboard in a medium sized hatchback, as discussed with Nick Eardley on BBC Radio 5 Live Breakfast. The stand fitted in as well. Altogether now…Sing us a song, you’re the Piano Car… 🎶
