According to the Met Office, 1,695.9mm of rain fell from October 2022 to March 2024, the highest amount for any 18-month period in England in recorded history. The Met Office started collecting data in 1836.

Who is talking straight with you on climate? Look at what they are emphasizing. Is it deep and immediate cuts in fossil fuel burning and carbon emissions? Or is it 'geoengineering' and 'carbon capture' and promises of new energy technology that simply kicks the can down the road?

The atmosphere you knew is gone - it now holds ~10% more water vapour than just 30 years ago. That's an incredible rise in such a short period. Every 1C of warming, the atmosphere holds 7% more. The rainfall accumulation for the UK/Ireland the past 12 months has been incredible.
