If you’re meaning scouts, they don’t put stock in small sample sizes. For them, it’s overall tools. Obviously, Clark had a solid resume coming into the league, but they look more at big picture projection, such as will he be an MLB starter, bench option or just a 4A player.

Scouts will always shoot you straight:

Me, “What are your thoughts on [INSERT PLAYER]?”

Scout, “His swing is s***. I wish I could get people to understand how hard it is to stand out in this game. I’m paid to give my honest opinion and that is his swing is s***.”
