Saw some discourse about novels about money and for me The Longcut is one of the best novels about money in USA because the narrator is an artist who has to have an office job to survive and because she spends so much time in the office she starts making art IN the office.

The fact that a large amount (possibly even the bulk?) of Cynthia Ozick's work has fallen out of print makes me think that Library of America should put her at the top of their list for whose work to collect next.
