After putting up a post about Brida's ability to track and find people, I started (as suggested) looking at 'mantrailing' as a focus activity for her. I've watched hours of videos and the training isn't a million miles away from how I trained my stalking dog. Who's hiding? 🤣

I took Brida out yesterday to purposefully track a human for the first time - she was right on it and performed brilliantly. Training her to do it isn't too dissimilar to training my gun dogs. This is definitely her 'thing', but I'm not sure what to do with the skill!

Sparrows are apparently fussy. I put out a bunch of hair from each of the dogs, and they ignored all but the husky hair.

The husky's been shedding for the last couple of weeks so I've been putting his hair out in the garden for the birds. This morning he's laying out there, and the birds are driving him mad by dropping on him to pluck his hair. Absolutely hilarious viewing!
