On Friday, the family of Lt. Chris Raguso met with the family of FF Kamran Khan and Engine 219. FF Khan passed away in February 2024. John Raguso presented the Khan family with a check from 39&One, a foundation in Lt. Raguso’s memory which helps the families of firefighters.

Last week, military, federal, state, and local medical responders integrated forces at the 11th Annual FDNY Search and Rescue Field Medicine Symposium. The 4 day event allowed first responders to engage in workshops, lectures, panel discussions, and hands-on-skills scenarios.

On Tuesday, FDNY officials met with lawmakers on Capitol Hill to discuss legislation that would regulate uncertified lithium-ion batteries. H.R. 1797, has passed committee and when enacted, will ensure that only certified batteries are able to enter the United States.
