Over 150 species detected in just a couple of liters of water. Stay tuned as we expect detecting thousands of species from samples across 17 nations OBIS UNESCO Ocean
I also thanked the students participating in the UNESCO ποΈ #Education #Sciences #Culture πΊπ³ program to map #Everglades species by identifying traces of #eDNA in water samples. Partial results revealed 163 species, including 44 that were not previously reported for Florida Bay in the UNESCO database system.
