179 (!) nuclear safety incidents within two years at one single submarine base for #trident . And yet the elected representatives, let alone the affected people, are deemed worthy to be informed. This will only help to solidify Scottish support for the TPNW.

I asked the Scottish Secretary to confirm if there was a radioactive leak beyond safe levels at Faslane last year, after my questions exposed a rise in serious nuclear safety incidents at the bases. Neither he nor the MoD think we have a right to know.

Russia announcing #nuclearweapons exercises near Ukraine is dangerous and irresponsible. It must be widely condemned. This kind of brinkmanship, typical of 'nuclear deterrence' thinking, can spiral out of control and result in catastrophe.  reuters.com/world/europe/r…🧵
