We were out on patrol in Courtown Co. Wexford when we issued the owner of this car a €150 fine for parking in a disabled bay without a permit or parking card - this will increase to €225 if not paid within 28 days.

We carried out a checkpoint Cork city recently.

Six vehicles were seized for a number of offenses including having no insurance or being driven by an unaccompanied learner.

One driver was arrested after it was found that they were disqualified and the subject of a warrant.

We were alarmed that the driver was also disqualified from driving.

But a cardboard cut-out as a fake insurance disc was certainly one we don't see too often.

This car was seized and proceedings will now follow.

While conducting a morning checkpoint in rural Wexford, Gardaí spotted the driver of this car turning away from them so they went off they took in pursuit.

They could see from their Automatic Number Plate Recognition system that the car wasn't insured or taxed, and had no NCT.

The nice weather over the weekend was no distraction for Gardaí on patrol in Irishtown, Dublin.

Using their mobility device they found that this driver had no insurance.

The car was seized and the driver faces court.

Gardaí in Cork city were on patrol over the weekend when they checked their mobility device which showed this car had no insurance.

It turns out the driver is on a 12-year disqualification.

Driver was arrested and the car seized.

As part of our May bank holiday road safety operation Gardaí in Terenure, Dublin 6, spotted this car which had no tax or insurance.

Driver now faces a day in court.

As part of our Road Enforcement Operation for the Bank Holiday Weekend, Bridewell Gardaí conducted a checkpoint in Dublin 7.

A driver was observed with an open container of alcohol. They failed a roadside test & were arrested.

Never drive under the influence of an intoxicant.

Longford RPU detected a car travelling 136km/h in a 50km/h zone. Proof of insurance also not given. The vehicle was seized & the driver arrested.

In Kildare earlier this week, Clane Gardaí detected an uninsured driver with the mobility device. The car also had a dangerous tyre & expired tax.

We are implementing a Road Safety Enforcement Operation for the May Bank Holiday Weekend & are urging all road users to be safe.

The N71 at Durrus Cross at Gortnacloona near Bantry, County Cork, and the R591 approaching this junction are currently closed and are expected to be closed for the morning as Gardaí deal with a collision.

Local diversions are in place. Delays are expected in the area.

ANPR alerted Gardaí in Waterford to this car without tax.

When stopped, we discovered that the driver was uninsured, an unaccompanied learner without L-plates, rear tyres were dangerously defective and he tested positive for cocaine & cannabis.

Our members from Blanchardstown held a joint agency checkpoint yesterday with our friends from RSA Ireland.

When this truck driver pulled in to our stop, we found out that he has been disqualified from driving for 20 years.

Needless to say he did not drive back out again.
