In honor of Women’s History Month, we are celebrating the life and art of Margot R. Lovejoy (American,1930-2019). Godwin-Ternbach Museum has just accepted a major donation of works to the collection from Lovejoy’s family.

At the opening of, 'The Psychology of Portraiture', museum co-directors Louise Weinberg & Maria Pio met with the founder’s relatives, Rachel and Natalie Bashner-the granddaughter & great-granddaughter of Joseph Ternbach, co-founder of the museum along with Dr. Francis Godwin.

The Godwin-Ternbach Museum invites you to an opening reception of The Psychology of Portraiture, featuring prints, drawings, paintings, and sculptures that reveal the universal motivation of visual artists to portray states of mind.
The reception is on Thurs, Feb. 15, 6-8 pm!

Our gallery is bustling with the arrival of precious folkloric artifacts generously donated by our former director, Amy Winter! Some of these artifacts will be thoughtfully incorporated into our collection, while others will be used for fundraising.
