Just chaired a crucial meeting with our national security and defense chiefs. We discussed our overall security situation, taking on the Kharijites and boosting our defense. Our government is determined to face these challenges head-on with a comprehensive and proactive approach.

Had a fruitful meeting with United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Operational Support, Mr. Atul Khare. We focused on strengthening cooperation between 🇸🇴&🇺🇳 to improve operational support. Emphasised empowering our Security Forces to take full security responsibility by December 2024.

In today's Arab League emergency meeting, I highlighted the dangerous plan by Ethiopia to control the entrances to the Red Sea, threatening global trade and navigation. We urged Arab countries to unite and stand with Somalia in confronting this aggressive plan. Solidarity is key.
