ICRC teams have travelled to Boro Medina, a remote town in north-western South Sudan, to deliver food, seeds, tools and other equipment to help more than 45,000 Sudanese refugees, South Sudanese returnees and their hosts.

I spent this week in Upper Nile & Diel, North Jonglei #SouthSudan witnessing the immense humanitarian needs due to continuous violence & conflicts.

More than 650K people fled war-torn #Sudan for South Sudan, and I witnessed yet again new arrivals to Malakal this morning.

With great sadness, we confirm that two of our colleagues were killed by gunmen today in South Darfur, Sudan. Three other were injured.

Around 70% of Sudan's population depends on agriculture and livestock for their livelihoods, but the conflict has severely disrupted access to land.

To help affected communities, the ICRC regularly distributes food and non-food aid in various parts of the country.
