Through a controlled trial in #MexicoCity , Bridget Hoffman (Inter-American Development Bank) studies #AirQuality SMS alerts and the effects they have on information and behavior. She concludes that there are increased reports of pollution and avoidance behavior across days of all levels of pollution.
.Chandan Deuskar & Jane Park share key findings from World Bank report 'Unlivable: What the Urban Heat Island Effect Means for East Asia's Cities,' explaining that East Asian cities are on average 1.6-2.0°C warmer than rural areas, with some cities up to 6°C warmer in tropical areas.
