Members of IS27 leadership will be facilitating a community session on the topic above to connect with one another and answer any questions you may have.

New York City Public Schools is aware of the earthquake that was just felt across the city.

Schools are operating as normal, and there is no need for parents to report to schools.

In case of an aftershock, drop to the floor, cover your head and neck, and take additional cover under a solid piece of furniture, next to an interior wall, or in a doorway.

We will be updating the public very soon with additional updates.

New York City just felt the impacts of a 4.8 magnitude earthquake with an epicenter of Lebanon, New Jersey.

Mayor Eric Adams is being briefed. While we do not have any reports of major impacts at this time, we’re still assessing the impact.
