LGBTQI+ rights are human rights. Ireland stands with LGBTQI+ communities around the world, and will continue working until human rights are a reality for all.

Under the theme 'Youth Without Borders, Study in Europe,' 🇮🇪 & 🇪🇺 member states participated in the academic fair aimed to promote scholarship and exchange opportunities in Europe.

Numerous students expressed interest in studying in 🇮🇪 through our Fellowship programme.

JCFAD visited the HQ of the EU Training Mission, in 🇲🇿 & met with the Commander, Major-General João Gonçalvez.

The EUTM briefed the JCFAD on its important work in supporting to the Mozambican Armed Forces to protect the civilian population & restore security in Cabo Delgado.

JCFAD met with Deputy Speaker of the Parliament & Chair of the Committee on Foreign Affairs.

Discussed 🇮🇪 & 🇲🇿’s close relationship based on friendship, solidarity & shared values. They also explored opportunities to strengthen inter-parliamentary links between the two Nations.

JCFAD met with 🇮🇪 & 🇲🇿 staff working at the Peace Process Secretariat in Maputo.

Charlie Flanagan TD congratulated 🇲🇿 on its achievement of completing the demobilisation & disarmament of 5221 combatants & the ongoing work on reintegration & reconciliation for sustainable peace.

The Vice-Minister & Chairman Charlie Flanagan TD welcomed 🇮🇪’s close ties & common values with 🇲🇿 as well as ongoing support to health, education, agriculture & peace in 🇲🇿. They also discussed opportunities to strengthen private sector investment & promotion of youth employment.

The JCFAD were delighted to meet with Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs & Cooperation, H.E. José Gonçalves in Maputo where they discussed the strengthening of 🇮🇪 & 🇲🇿 bilateral relationship.

JCFAD visited the Agricultural Fair in Tofo & viewed a display of nutritious farm produce supported by 🇮🇪, such as honey, vegetables, fruits, fish, cashews, plants & trees, recycled products, poultry, rabbits & sweet potatoes as well as displays on coastal & marine conservation.

Just concluding the Inhambane leg of the Committee’s visit to Mozambique. Wonderful welcome from the partners we met who generously shared their time, experiences and insights with us.

JCFAD visited the Moguba deep well solar-powered water system in Homoine District, providing access to clean water for 2,200 people.

The system was built by the Provincial Govt with 🇮🇪’s support, improving community resilience & climate adaptation for year-round access.

JCFAD visited the Rio das Pedras farming community in Massinga, as part of the 10,000 farmers producing improved Orange Flesh Sweet Potato.

With support from 🇮🇪 to the Int’l Potato Centre (CIP), productivity has increased from 8 t per ha to 12 t of the highly nutritious food.

The JCFAD met with Hospital Director & Deputy Country Director of Ireland's longstanding partner CHAI at Vilankulos Rural Hospital to see firsthand the impact of 🇮🇪’s support to provincial health systems.
