A 90-year-old woman who was allegedly raped and assaulted on November 15 at her care home in Bateau Bay, NSW, has died from her injuries. She is the 68th woman killed this year & the 8th woman lost to violence in a matter of two weeks. A man has been charged over the assault.

Next brain MRI scan this Friday looking 4 recurrent #glioblastoma &/or treatment effects. I don’t think high risk of major change yet but as scan creeps up closer I’m a little anxious. I understand this common in cancer patients (“scanxiety”). Here’s my take & experience to date!

November 25, 2023: Teacher Catiuscia Machado was killed on Saturday in her home at Chiswick, NSW. Her male partner is charged with her murder. She is the 67th woman killed in 2023 & the 7th allegedly murdered in the past two weeks.
