Today I called on the Prime Minister to end sales to Israel.

When you watch the Prime Minister’s answer below, remember this: since 2015 the UK has licensed over £489m worth of arms to Israel.

The Tories have lost the argument. Now they are trying to mislead the public.

The wishes of the Labour Party members of Islington North should be respected & they should be allowed to select the candidate of their voice & that includes Jeremy Corbyn, who has given his life to representing his community.

Natalie Elphicke is right to apologise.
The decision to accept it 5 years after she first said it is unusual.
Not everyone is treated with such generosity.

Switch Eurovision off.

This tiny gesture sends a signal to the children of Palestine that their lives matter more to you that a couple of hours of television entertainment.

People are desperately trying to leave Rafah as the Israelis attack. Nowhere is safe & there is nowhere that has the facilities to cope with such a large movement of people. Our government stands on the sidelines & does nothing to halt this. They are detestable & beneath contempt.

This is silly from Lisa Nandy. The 2019 manifesto was fully costed (as she knows) and deliverable - and many of her colleagues in the current shadow cabinet signed off on it. Were they 'fundamentally dishonest' to do so, Lisa Nandy?

By all means disagree on policy, but don't lie

The Tories are bringing new legislation allowing the Government to spy on millions of people's bank accounts.

This especially targets the disabled and sick, caregivers, jobseekers & pensioners.

But be warned it can be used against nearly everyone.

My new motion opposing this👇

The UK disgracefully abstained at the UN General Assembly today on Palestinian statehood.

If their speeches about a two-state solution meant anything, they wouldn’t just talk about the existence of a Palestinian state, they would vote for it.

It’s clear why a Labour leader would want Tory defections but there does come a point where you have to ask, is there a line that can’t be crossed? And if so, what exactly is it? IDK but perhaps an MP who mocked a black man for wanting to feed hungry children might be it.

Natalie Elphicke’s values are not the values of the labour movement.

It’s outrageous that she should be allowed to join the Labour benches while principled socialists like Diane Abbott MP and Jeremy Corbyn still haven’t had the whip restored.

We’ve got £29m in our political fund, we may have to spend some of this on trying to get The Labour Party into the right place, campaigning in constituencies and making sure that they understand that workers rights are a 'red line'. morningstaronline.co.uk/article/tuc-pr…

Union leaders are right. We have some of the worst workers' rights in the G20. We should be strengthening them, not watering down commitments.

The assault on Rafah is another utterly despicable war crime.

As bombs rain down on a trapped and terrified population, we implore our government to find an ounce of humanity and end its complicity in this senseless massacre.

Wake up. This is not war. This is genocide.

Our Government must do more than issue yet more hollow statements if it is to help prevent what would be an unimaginable bloodbath in Rafah.

It must act. Starting by ending arms sales to Israel.

These arms sales mean our Government is directly complicit in Israel's war crimes.
