Similarly education related, I also had a courtesy meeting with the Association of Tertiary Level Institutions of Belize (ATLIB). We discussed avenues for my Administration, my Office and the Ministry of Education to collaborate more closely with ATLIB.

Mothers play such an important role in the lives of our children.

Today, my Office took time to honor the mothers on our staff. We say thank you for the contributions you make to the work of our government for the people of our nation.

A mother teaches, loves, fosters unity in a home. She sacrifices for the good of her children, shaping families that form wholesome communities, making mothers the true builders of nations.

Today, we lovingly say thank you, Moms across Belize.

Belize signs on becoming 1 of the first 25 countries to benefit from the #ALCE  working to improve satellite communication accelerating digital transformation.

Available satellite imagery will help 🇧🇿 detect deforestation due to crossborder incursions, while protecting heritage.

A #PlanBelize commitment realized. The new Haulover Bridge replaces the original crossing first constructed in 1947. This modern structure is built to reflect population, trade and traffic growth. We urge motorists to drive with care, avoid speeding and overtaking on the bridge.

Sunday was celebrated globally as Good Deed Day. My wife invited Hon. Kevin Bernard and I to join her in this initiative. We used the day to sit with seniors and interacting with residents across our Orange Walk Central community.

April 5th - Palestinian Children's Day is observed bring focus to Palestinian children who live under extremely difficult conditions.

With the current Israeli-Hamas War impact on the people of Gaza we join the global call for respect of human rights, especially children rights.

Our thoughts are with the government, people and our friends of Taiwan. This morning a 7.2 magnitude earthquake occurred just offshore the east coast of the island nation, and felt in its capital city Taipei and many counties. The quake experienced was the strongest in 25 years.

Signed and sealed... the agreement with the stevedores and their CWU representatives has been effected.

The work continues as we ensure the Port of Belize remains a viable critical infrastructure supporting national development.

We had a productive session today with representatives for the stevedores, who are members of the CWU. Along with several of our Ministers, we engaged in a cordial discussion and arrived at an agreement. The legal advisors will now represent that in a legal document to be signed.

Congratulations to the Belize Water Services Ltd team as Belize has been selected to host the Caribbean Water and Wastewater Association (CWWA) 2025 annual conference.

Today, I met with the visiting Directors of the CWWA and Executives of BWS.

Unemployment down from 14% to 3.4%. The economy growing at a steady 10.4%.
