There can have been no good reason for giving a hugely valuable and hugely sensitive contract to Palantir. The facts before the event made this evident - and so does it's behaviour after the event.

💥NEW: NHS England will investigate whether Palantir violated the terms of its contract to run the Federated Data Platform, after the tech giant covertly launched an influencer campaign to promote the contract and brief against Good Law Project ⬇️

Government increasing flooding by licensing more Oil and Gas is absolutely helping to cause the problem for which businesses, understandably, now want compensation, which we will have to pay for. The only winners? The Big Oil producers Sunak is always strangely generous to.

Indeed. Was just chatting to a friend who knew the contract would contain the clause before I even mentioned it. The truth is almost certainly that Palantir didn't care about the breach because it thought (because no one was allowed to mention their name) it wouldn't get caught.

There's a lot wrong with this analysis including (1) the false assumption that further oil and gas will be used in the domestic market - it won't be and (2) that it ignores that more drilling is intended to, and will, mean more oil - with negative effects for the planet.

I didn't think better of them. But my advice, for those who decide to cancel because they don't want to fund The Times' lies, is not to engage. Just repeat: 'please cancel my subscription. I don't want to discuss why.'

I have seen enough of them now to always watch with great interest the “moment” that a truly shocking state inflicted disaster hits wider public consciousness. It’s often, in the U.K. via the medium of an excellent TV docudrama and since the 90s I have observed the same pattern…

If you are affected by the flooding I am afraid it is going to get worse - and Rishi Sunak's Government, by licensing more oil and gas, is knowingly choosing to make it worse.
