#TBT - Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) celebrates the month of May as General Aviation Appreciation Month. 1939 Airplane with the first air mail service to Monroe, Louisiana.

The Plaquemine Ferry is currently shut down due to mechanical issues.

LA 509 from the DeSoto Parish line to LA 1 in Red River Parish is undergoing repairs in the form of an asphalt overlay and culvert replacement.
Work started in February and is anticipated to wrap up in later this Spring, weather permitting.

ACADIA PARISH, La. - DOTD announces that La. 13 south of Crowley, near La. 3007, is closed to the traveling due to down power lines as a result of severe weather conditions.
