I could be wrong but I feel like in all the mandates not a single Network wants to look for 'their Bridgeton.' It's like no one wants to acknowledge the reasons that show is successful:
- Diverse - Female skewing audience - Soapy - Young Adult
For some reason everyone in my mentions are fired up that I referred to bridgerton as a young adult show. I have no idea why young adult is such a dirty word to people.
Fuck it. Here's a random 4 page excerpt of my current spec pilot. For genuinely no reason I just need serotonin today and sharing my stuff does that for me.
Cat people! Had anyone ever seen this before? They’re just playing. Everything is fine but if you watch closely at the beginning and toward the end Charlie (gray) sticks her tongue out far before going in for a nip. Is that normal??
I’d also add “making historical fiction accessible” to reasons why Bridgerton is so popular. So far most networks/streamers are avoiding any attempt to directly compete or capitalize on the popularity with new productions.
Hello X: They've published the victim's private address online to encourage others to harass them--that is exactly the 3rd and 4th bullet points of, 'Harassing someone or encouraging people to harass someone' and 'wishing harm on someone'.
