Another morning in Ukraine with air raids and rocket attacks. Eleven dead, many injured in an attack on Chernihiv. Russia is terrorizing the civilian population. More air defense is needed. Germany supplies an additional patriot system. Other partners must follow.

In Vorbereitung auf das Pessah-Fest besuchte mich heute unser Partner und Freund Rabbi Raphael Rutman in der deutschen Botschaft. Ein Luftalarm zwang uns, unser Gespräch im Schutzraum zu führen. Raphael kümmert sich um Bedürftige überall in der Ukraine wie nur wenige es tun.

In preparation for Pessah, our good partner and friend Rabbi Raphael Rutman visited me today at the German embassy in Kyiv. An air raid forced us to have our conversation in the shelter. Raphael cares for those in need all over Ukraine like few others do.

Sending Patriot air defence systems to Ukraine at critical time is the best decision world leaders can make to bring peace closer. Thank you Germany for your firm stance!
