In the 3rd week of Sept both our tagged turtles Bageshri & Guha went silent one after another...
Both were tracked for a record time of 225 days. Guha went silent on 21 Sept while Bageshri on 23rd Sept.

Today, on the Occasion of Wildlife Week a lecture on ‘Mangrove Conservation in Maharashtra, was delivered to 50 students of D G Ruparel Zoology students. Also, another lecture on ‘Sea Turtle Tagging in Maharashtra’ was delivered to 60 attendees at Sanjay Gandhi National Park

On the occasion of the Mega Clean Drive under the 'Swachata hi Seva' campaign, Mangrove cleanups were organized at several locations along the coastal districts.
Forest Dept. staff, NGOs, school & college students, MCMC members & other volunteers participated in the cleanup.

This week Bageshri moved further into the Bay of Bengal & appears to very likely spend time foraging out here while Guha continues to remain in the area north of the Malabar coast
