I enjoyed spending the morning with the Associated General Contractors of Virginia talking business and construction legislation. Thanks to my colleagues Tony Wilt, Chris Runion and Senator Chris Head for attending as well!

Thanks to Kay Kibler and Bob Fairweather for giving me a tour of the Lacey Spring Food Pantry today. The pantry is run out of Grace Mennonite Fellowship Church and they do a tremendous job to serve and feed those in our community.

My bracket’s busted - I’m ready for some baseball! It's Opening Day and all 30 teams are scheduled. Season kicks off at 1:10 pm with the Mets - another soul crushing campaign against the Brewers. The Phillies host the (World Series bound) Braves at 3:05.

I have this framed editorial cartoon from 1975 hanging in my office. 49 years later it still resonates!

Special thanks to the volunteers with fire companies across Page County. The Governor declared a regional emergency to allow us to gain access to additional resources and relief to complete this operation and begin recovery. (2/2)

This morning I joined Governor Youngkin and other state officials assembled at Cooter’s, just east of Luray, the staging area for emergency operations for a briefing and to support firefighters who have come from all over Virginia. (1/2)

The Governor Glenn Youngkin let me know early this morning that 4,000 gallons of gasoline and diesel are on the way to Page County to re-supply the local fire departments. Thank you!

Especially thankful too that the good Lord sent rain to the Shenandoah Valley.

Thank you Glenn Youngkin for the resources you have directed to Page County! We will pray that much needed rain (a lot of it!) will come tonight to extinguish this fire and provide much needed relief to exhausted firefighters.

Good Morning from the Shenandoah Valley, the gentle fold in the palm of God’s hand!

I was honored to take part in the groundbreaking ceremony for the new Augusta County Courthouse this morning in Verona. This beautiful new facility is something that we can all be very proud of and it will serve our judicial system well for many years to come.

One of the many things I missed while away from home for the past nine weeks – – I am very happy to have Tacos El Primo back in the lunch rotation!!!
