The fact is the Australian government collects more money from students paying HECS than it does from gas companies paying the PRRT.

The WA Treasurer was asked about our billboard yesterday, showing that rego fees contribute more to the WA Budget than gas royalties.

She said it is a matter for the Feds — but this isn't the whole picture. There's more that both WA & Federal Govts can do.

Former conservative Premier of WA Colin Barnett has slammed the federal government for essentially giving away Australia’s offshore gas at NPC today.

Pretty much exactly what the Australia Institute said in our WA gas report released yesterday

Melbourne Uni’s Energy Institute copied with Net Zero Australia also funded by fossil fuel interests… se my thread on…

Australia Institute billboard in central Perth, letting WA motorists know they will pay more in rego than gas companies will pay in royalties in this years budget.

These foreign owned gas exporters talk a big game on their economic contribution, but are actually epic leaners.

Leaving this here for the next time someone says we 'can't afford' to increase JobSeeker.

In Australia, we force our unemployed to live off just 28% of average earnings, the lowest in the OECD as a % of avg earnings.
