The disparity between UK higher education institutions' employer pension contributions has not been given enough attention.
Those who participate in USS, which tends to be the more elite unis have had their contribution reduced to 14.5%.
Those in TPS are rising to 28.68%.

Eyewatering increase for employer pension contributions to TPS - set to rise from 23.68% - 28.68%. Difficult to see how unis in TPS can afford alongside other cost pressures. Meanwhile USS contributions to fall next year.
