It is sounding quite likely that the US Supreme Court will overturn Roe v Wade. That could be the end of America.

I see trending so I’m re-sharing this from the founder of Me Too.

Believing survivors means treating allegations as worthy of consideration and investigation, rather than immediately dismissing the person and their story as crazy or mendacious.

I believe Kate.

This is what the Australian government is normalising by not condemning some the extreme threats of the so called freedom protesters.

Got rid of the Family Court, sued the ABC with the help of $1,000,000 someone kindly left in his locker, oversaw Robodebt and Witness K trial. Greatest blot on his life would perhaps have been considered the future leader of the Liberal Party.

Interesting that in all this talk about social media and defamation, the govt hasn’t mentioned what happened to me. Despite their claims, this bill will make it easier for the wealthy/powerful to sue those who speak truth to power. “Free speech for me but not for thee”. Chilling.

So federal parliament did at least get one decent thing done today: a support mechanism for TV production -promised in September last year to start from July 1 has gone through. It had been estimated up to $400 million of production was in peril if the legislation was not passed.

Porter isn’t leaving bc of “harshness of politics” - he’s had nothing but brutish protection from Morrison & cabinet who closed ranks around him when allegations were exposed + rabid cheerleading of half Murdoch press. Didn’t even face an inquiry!

He can’t face voters of Pearce.

Carbon capture and storage is a fraught fantasy of the fossil fuel industry trying to extend the period of its relevance. We should be enormously skeptical, and as a populace demand far more transparency around any government plans to engage in such boondoggles.

I am literally facing bankruptcy after fighting a defamation case against a cabinet minister and Labor folks are still piling on me for daring to suggest that Labor should commit to lifting people out of poverty. Fuck this shit. This place is toxic as hell.
