TRAFFIC ALERT: 12:15 p.m. I-55 southbound continues to experience heavy traffic for about 25 miles from I-270 in St. Louis County to south of Festus in Jefferson County.

I-55 southbound is backed up to north of Meramec Bottom Road (mm 194) in St. Louis County for about 25 miles. All roads heading south out of St. Louis County and Jefferson County are experiencing heavy traffic, including Rte. 61/67 and Rte. 21.

Watch out for heavy traffic on southbound I-55 from mm 191 at Arnold in Jefferson County for the next 15 miles.
